Father Martin Degnan

Father Degnan was born on August 24, 1867 and was ordained on July 1, 1900 in Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Detroit, Michigan. He served at Sacred Heart Parish in Arkansas City from 1928 until his retirement on November 1, 1938. After his retirement he served as chaplain at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott. He died on March 17, 1946 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in North Smithfield, RI.
