Father Victor Bieberle

Born on Sept. 25, 1925, in Bushton, Father Victor Bieberle studied for the priesthood at St. Thomas Seminary in Denver. He was ordained on May 21, 1951, at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Bushton. Father Bieberle served four years as an assistant pastor at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Wichita after his ordination. In 1955 he was named pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Burns. He was assigned as pastor of St. Mark Parish in Marion in 1957. In 1961 Fr. Bieberle was released to serve as a military chaplain and returned to the Diocese of Wichita in 1967, when he was named an assistant at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Wichita. Soon after he was assigned as administrator of Sacred Heart Parish in Anthony. Father Bieberle was named pastor of St. Anne Parish in Wichita in 1969 and served there for six years before his appointment in 1975 as pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Wichita. In 1987, after 12 years at Blessed Sacrament, he was named pastor of Holy Cross Parish in Hutchinson where he served until his retirement in 1995. He is buried at Ascension Cemetery in Wichita.
