Father Leo Anthony Prichard

Father Prichard was born on November 8, 1926 in Wichita and attended grade and three years of high school at St. Mary’s Cathedral. His senior year and studies through third year of theology were at Conception Seminary, Conception, MO. After completing his fourth year of theology at Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis, MO, he was ordained by Bishop Carroll in St. Patrick’s Church in Wichita on March 22, 1958. He served as an assistant at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Pittsburg, KS for three years and then as an assistant at St. Teresa’s Parish in Hutchinson. During his years in Hutchinson he was administrator of Holy Trinity High School, assistant at Our Lady of Guadalupe, chaplain of St. Elizabeth Hospital, and cared for St. Agnes Parish in Castleton. Following his funeral Masses at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Hutchinson, he was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Wichita.
